VUML (View based UML) is an object modelling language that introduced the concepts of Multiview Component in UML. However, just as UML, VUML does not offer any method to elaborate the Multiview Component Diagram. To cope with this, we have used the UP (Unified Process) methods and CUP (Component Unified Process) to propose a new way to develop a PIM (Platform Independent Model) based on Multiview Components. In this paper, we describe the steps of this new approach.
